The perfect lawn needed a rethink. With Husqvarna, we created Rewilding Mode: a feature that turned robotic lawnmowers into a tool for biodiversity by leaving parts of the garden wild.
Problem
The perfect lawn has long been the ideal. But what looks good to us isn’t always good for biodiversity. Husqvarna needed a way to challenge that convention and make biodiversity part of everyday lawn care.
Solution
Our solution was Rewilding Mode: a feature that allows Husqvarna’s robotic lawnmowers to leave 10% of the lawn uncut for pollinators, turning a global biodiversity challenge into local action.
Impact
Rewilding Mode made biodiversity part of Husqvarna’s product offering, creating thousands of rewilding zones across Europe. Together, they have the potential to form Europe’s largest nature reserve, one garden at a time.
