BILLION DOLLAR COLLECTION

What if the fashion industry’s most important collection wasn’t for sale, but for investment? Together with H&M Foundation, we created The Billion Dollar Collection: a virtual fashion collection that presented sustainable innovations as investment opportunities.

Problem

The fashion industry accounts for 10% of humanity’s carbon emissions and needs $30 billion in annual funding to transform. Promising innovations already exist, but many of the start-ups behind them lack the investment and support needed to scale.

Solution

The Billion Dollar Collection presented ten sustainable innovations as digital fashion pieces in a virtual lookbook. The aim was to attract investors, with each innovation given a price tag showing how much funding was needed to scale by 2030.

Impact

The Billion Dollar Collection connected sustainable fashion innovators with investors, creating new opportunities for funding and growth. It helped attract the investment needed to scale by putting promising innovations in the spotlight.
